Keeping that in mind we wanted to get inside the mind of a Pro poker player to see how they prepare for such a huge series. We caught up withthe two of PokerStars Team Pros India and put a few questions to them asking them what they do to prepare.
1. SCOOP is coming up on May 13th with ₹4,16,00,000 Guaranteed during the Series, how will you prepare for the series, and what % of the ₹4,16,00,000 will you be taking home?
Muskan Sethi: "I am really looking forward to the first ever SCOOP on PokerStars India and this is just the beginning. Because of my regular MTT routine on Pokerstars.in & all the study, I feel ready to take on INSCOOP. I will follow a proper schedule during the series. This is perfect timing considering WSOP is around the corner it will be a great way to get some hands on experience for experimenting the ongoing adjustments in my game. This will be a great opportunity to pump up my bankroll so I'll give my best and aim to win atleast 10% of the total prizepool".
Aditya Agarwal: "I just been studying a lot for WSOP and this seems like a great warm up since the series have lots of deep structured events. Hopefully I will be taking good bit of the 4.16cr gtd".
2. Will you be playing many of the events and what events are you most looking forward to playing?
Muskan Sethi: "I will be playing most of the events. There are 92 exciting tournaments to choose from. Monster Stack, Highroller are going to be juicy! But everyone's eyes should be on The grand main event - MAMMOTH (1 crore GTD), this is one event that just cannot be missed. There are 15 Starting flights for this massive event so I have my fingers crossed".
Aditya Agarwal: "I will play be playing all the flagships events till the 21st of May, Sunday Special tournament is the one I am looking forward to the most".
3. At the PokerStars School, we will have many new players, who are playing INSCOOP for the first time. Do you remember the first time you played SCOOP and what advice would you give to these players?
Muskan Sethi: "I remember playing SCOOP on Pokerstars. I used to grind low/mid stakes and because of high guarantees I planned out SCOOP, studied a lot with my poker coach... During the series I had some deep runs which gave me the courage to play the main event where I cashed $10000, which gave me a bankroll to play some live tournaments at WSOP that following summer! My advice would be to plan everything in advance so nothing can distract you during the series. Play some side events before the main event, spread out your bankroll smartly to get maximum volume and results. Most importantly. enjoy the series! Good Luck!"
Aditya Agarwal: "First time I played it was the first time it was run on PokerStars. I would advice thats it's a long series and to pace yourself and try and give yourself as many opportunities as possible".
